NEW SINGLE - WILDEST MAN ALIVE

"Wildest Man Alive" is the new single from the smart Norwegian living in Hamburg. A fascinating piece, a self-ironic song about the fight between masculinity, sensitivity and precociousness. In a very insightful self-reflective way, Tom Hugo sings about his childhood and how he would like to live as a retired man. The song is a tribute to all who follow their dreams. Tom himself says, "It´s never too late, I hope ... Seeing my 82-year old history teacher dancing with a beer, while trying to hit on the young girls in front of the stage at a show last year, was a huge inspiration". " Wildest Man Alive", taken from the album "Sundry Tales", is a strong pop song with catchy hooks, strong melodies and instrumentation. The whole is accompanied with a dash of soulful folk.

"Wildest man alive" ist die neue Single des smarten Norwegers mit Wahlheimat Hamburg. Ein mitreißendes Stück, ein selbstironischer Song über die Männlichkeit und Müttersöhnchen. In einer sehr einfühlsamen selbstbetrachtenden Maniere, singt Tom Hugo über seine Kindheit und wie er als Rentner gern leben würde. Tom selber sagt "It´s never too late, I hope ... Die erste Single Auskopplung aus dem im März 2012 erscheinendem Album "Sundry Tales", ist eine Homage an alle die ihren Träumen folgen. "Wildest man alive" ist ein starker Pop Song mit einprägsamer Hook, starker Melodie und Instrumentierung. Das ganze ist gefühlvoll untermalt mit einer Prise Folk.




OPEN UP YOUR EYES

Tom Hugo made his first real appearance in the European music-scene with his single "Open Up Your Eyes" in the summer of 2011. The song was featured in the summer trailer of German television RTL, and was played at several radio stations. Logically that "Open Up Your Eyes" climbed into the Top 100 German Airplay chart. In Norway, the track was listed by the largest radio-station (P1) for 11 weeks, with a peak-position of #14 on the official Norwegian Airplay Chart.

Tom Hugo hat mit "Open up your eyes" im Sommer 2011, zum ersten Mal richtig auf sich aufmerksam gemacht. Der Song war im RTL Sommer-Trailer hinterlegt. Ebenso war der Titel ein ein Dauerbrenner bei einigen Radio Stationen - logisch also dass "Open Up Your Eyes" in die Top 100 Airplaycharts kletterte. Bei norwegens größter Radio-Station (P1) war der Song 11 Wochen in den Airplay-Charts und kletterte bis auf Platz 14.
